How to Bake Patron Cupcakes

Bake Patron (tequila) cupcakes for your next social function and you will be the hostess with the mostess! These cupcakes are absolutely to die for. If you don't have a special event or party coming up, no problem; you can still bake Patron cupcakes just because they're scrumptious. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Preheat oven to 325 F.

Grease your cupcake pan or use cupcake liners. If you are using foil cup liners, don't forget to remove the paper before filling with batter.

In a large mixing bowl add the dry ingredients first: flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and lime shavings (about 1/4 tsp.).

Add the wet ingredients to the dry: egg, butter, milk, lime juice, orange liqueur and Patron. Blend well by hand or by mixer on low speed.

Pour batter into prepared cupcake pans. Bake until cupcakes appear medium brown or toothpick comes out clean, 15 to 20 minutes.

For Patron cupcake frosting you can use a basic sweet buttercream frosting or vanilla frosting. Add 1/8 tsp. each lime juice, orange liqueur and Patron to the frosting.

Tips

- Use store-bought cake mix instead of this homemade version by adding Patron tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and shavings.

- Add food coloring to make cupcakes lime green.

Warning

- These cupcakes are not for children.
