Hello, this is Chef Peter Ryan from Cook Street School of Culinary Arts in Denver, Colorado. Today, we're going to talk about how to grease a baking pan, such as these. Now, you notice none of these are non-stick baking pans. And you never want to grease a non- stick baking pan, because that could actually inhibit the release system of the non-stick pan. The materials needed to grease your baking pan are, the pan, some fat, preferably butter, and a paper towel. The way to do it is simply take your paper towel, put some butter or fat on it, and grease the inside only of the pan. You know you have enough grease or fat on the inside of the pan when you can see through it and there's no clumps of the fat. Good tip though, is to always have your pan ready to go and pre-greased before you do your recipe, just in case your item needs to get in the oven right away. That's it. That's how to grease a baking pan.
